In the Moment

Raglan, Bridal Veil Falls & Pirongia

Our arrival in the surfers paradise was as wet as the sea – it was pouring down. Hey ho, that’s the west coast for you! Raglan is a quirky, trendy town with lots of gifty type shops. Even wet its lovely. We have fish, chips & battered oysters for dinner on the wharf. In the morning, we have coffee and a giant muffin at The Sacred Cow coffee shop. Both are excellent! https://www.thestonedcow.co.nz/

Then on to Bridal Veil Falls. It’s name is obvious when you see the falls from the bottom. There are 260+ steps to the bottom. And of course, 260+ back up!! It’s worth it though…

Bridal Veil Falls

Last stop before parking up for the night was Pirongia. A small but historically important town in the late 1800s.
