What a blustery night! We managed to survive thanks to Nicola’s two fleecy blankets on top of the duvet. And yes, it really was 6 degrees inside the van. I ventured outside with p.js and socks to see Mount Taranaki in all of her glory. OMG. STUNNING! Crystal clear blue sky. Snow capped peak. Breathtaking. We go for a walk after breakfast on the Ngatoro Loop track. An hour of clambering over bolders, roots and through neck high ferns. Tough but excellent! Then coffee after sitting looking at the mountain.

On to Pukeiti Rhododendron Trust for a walk around the gardens to see the rhodos. Lovely.
