In the Moment

Lower Hutt & Petone

We’ve had a couple of days visiting family and friends in Wellington and Lower Hutt. It’s been fun & relaxing. Also laundry day but have decided NOT to share photos of that!! Filled up at Te Puna Wai Ora with artisian spring water in Petone before visiting the Settlers Museum on the Petone foreshore. There is a brass plaque on the wall inside where the names of the original settlers from the UK who arrived in 1840 are recorded. Don’ Great, Great, Great Grandparents are listed here.

Popped around to Days Bay, which we both love, for a walk on the beach.

We parked up for the evening at Petone Working Men’s Club. What a find! Safe parking. Can use the bar & the restaurant. AND. It’s ukulele concert evening! I ordered my first JUG of beer tonight. Consequently, a jolly time was had by all!
