From time to time, we venture outside the M25 – the orbital ring road that circumnavigates London. In fact, we do this as often as we can – not to avoid the city, but to enjoy the relative serenity of the countryside. We recently visited Aldeburgh, Cirencester, Malmsbury and Exeter. Each has it’s own personality and vibe. Exeter Cathedral has one of the most stunning roof structures we’ve seen. Quite remarkable considering the tools that were used to make it.
